The Shields Law Firm, LLC is a General Litigation Practice helping individuals and small businesses throughout metropolitan Atlanta and Central Georgia resolve legal disputes and protect their legal rights.



After practicing at prestigious firms in downtown Atlanta and Chicago for more than a decade, Sharese Shields opened The Shields Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia. By controlling case load and selectively choosing the types of cases the firm handles, The Shields Law Firm is able to provide personalized service tailored to meet the unique legal needs of our clients.



We understand that effective representation is not just knowing the law. Many individuals come to their attorney having virtually no prior experience with legal system. They may not know what factors distinguish a strong case from a weak case, how the opposing party will seek to disprove their claim or how long it will take to get the results they want. Still, other clients come already having discerned their particular legal needs and merely seeking counsel to carry out a specified objective.

Georgia

For more than a decade, Sharese Shields has aggressively litigated cases in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout Illinois and Georgia. She has counseled and advised small businesses, large corporations, insurance companies, hospitals, school districts, public figures, as well as private individuals from all walks of life on a variety of legal matters, including criminal law, education law, family law, probate, personal injury, slip and falls, business disputes and automobile and trucking litigation.

In 2006, Sharese was named an honoree on the Georgia Rising Stars List, which named top attorneys in Georgia under the age of 40, as recognized by their peers. In 2009, the Atlanta Business League named Sharese as one of Atlanta's Top 100 Women of Influence.

Prior to law school, Sharese worked as a newspaper reporter in South Georgia and Central Georgia covering public safety and education issues. She also has taught business and legal courses at Chicago State University and Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois.
