Robert Haile concentrates in the area of commercial litigation, trust and estates litigation, securities litigation, and employment litigation. He has tried many dozens of jury and non-jury trials involving disputes in the areas of breach of contract, securities fraud, registered representative disputes, theft of trade secrets, noncompetition agreements, intellectual property disputes, partnership dissolutions, shareholder disputes, probate and trust litigation involving will contests and the removal and surcharge of trustees, real estate disputes, commercial foreclosures, and receivership issues.
Prior to the formation of Haile, Shaw & Pfaffenberger, P.A., Mr. Haile was a partner of the Park Avenue law firm of Schulte Roth & Zabel. Mr. Haile was previously associated with the Wall Street law firm of White & Case in New York City.
Mr. Haile also served as a law clerk for Justice Herbert S. MacDonald, Supreme Court of the State of Connecticut, the State's highest Court. Mr. Haile is a member of the Florida, Connecticut and New York Bars, and has been admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, and Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits.
Born in New York City, Mr. Haile is a 1972 graduate of Fordham University School of Law, where he was a member of the Fordham Law Review. Mr. Haile is a 1966 graduate of Dartmouth College, where he obtained his baccalaureate degree. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 as a 1st Lieutenant and in the last year of service was stationed in Korea on the DMZ as a cavalry troop commander.
