Richard Jacobs is a dual United Kingdom/United States citizen who has been practicing law for over twenty-five years. Licensed in England, Washington, and California, he practiced as a barrister out of chambers in Middle Temple for nine years before moving to the United States. His practice in England focused on intellectual property rights and business law issues.

Since arriving in the U.S., Mr. Jacobs has developed U.S. immigration law into his principal area of expertise. Assisted by his background in business law and a cosmopolitan non-U.S. culture, he has enabled hundreds of non-U.S. business people to set up their U.S. operations. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and its Washington Chapter.
