Peter H. Song is a registered patent attorney in New York City and founder of SONG PLLC. He represents midsize and small corporations, technology startups, and individual inventors in matters related to patent and trademark procurement, patent and trademark litigation, licensing, and counseling on specific IP issues.

Mr. Song brings to his professional engagements extensive experience in the legal procedures available for protecting and litigating intellectual property rights. A degreed electrical engineer, his patent experience encompasses a variety of electrical, mechanical, and software-based technologies, including high-speed network routers, extensible markup languages, digital imaging, fiberoptic network switches, remote call recording and monitoring, vehicle telematics, 3g wireless cellular communications, bar code and currency validation devices.

Before starting his own law practice, Mr. Song was in private practice at Fish & Richardson, P.C., the largest intellectual property law firm in the U.S., where he represented multinational corporations and midsize technology companies in complex patent matters in techologies relating to the electrical and mechanical arts. He has also served in the federal judiciary as a law clerk in the chambers of Senior United States District Judge Neal B. Biggers, Jr.

Mr. Song received his juris doctor in 2001 from Emory University School of Law. In addition to his law degree, he holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University.
