Mr. Belt is a member of the Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, New Mexico, and Colorado State Bars. He is also a member of the Christian Legal Society, the American Association of Justice, the Alabama Association of Justice, and the Birmingham Bar Association. He is a sustaining member of both the American and Alabama Associations of Justice and is currently serving on the executive committee for the Alabama Association of Justice.

Mr. Belt is the president of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Head Injury Foundation, which is an Alabama non-profit corporation that helps coordinate services and benefits for people with head injuries throughout the state of Alabama. He has served on this Board in different capacities for 6 years. Mr. Belt is also a member of the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation that raises and disburses money to various charities around the state. He is also a member of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club that raises money for the Crippled Children’s Organization.
