Kari L. Hayles-Davenport

Families are very complicated and the law surrounding families, children, and property division can be even more complex. The laws in the family law arena are constantly changing to accommodate the current circumstances of our society. Our practice areas include divorce, legal separation, child custody, child support, establishing or disestablishing paternity, parenting plans, meretricious relationships, domestic partnerships, step-parent adoptions, establishing defacto parentage, third-party custody, and protective orders.

Washington

Kari was born in the Tri-Cities to a farming family. She received a B.A. from Washington State University in 2003 and a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2006. Kari is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Benton-Franklin Bar Association, Washington Young Lawyer ‘s Division, Benton-Franklin Young Lawyers Division, and Washington Family Law Section. She was admitted to practice in Washington State and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Washington in 2006. Kari was the recipient of the prestigious Gene Schuster Award from the Benton/Franklin Legal Aid Society in 2008 for her level of involvement in the community. She has worked as a volunteer CASA through juvenile court in Benton, Franklin and Spokane Counties. Kari enjoys spending time with her friends and family, boating, snowmobiling and many other activities. She is an advocate for each and every one of her clients, taking the time to understand each person’s unique situation and circumstances.
