Joseph Schilleci

Mr. Schilleci represents clients in all matters related to the professional and personal matters associated with businesses and their owners. He practices in the areas of corporate transactional and business formation matters, civil litigation, complex litigation, business litigation, commercial and business law, professional liability, intellectual property and estate planning.

Mr. Schilleci regularly provides litigation services on behalf of various individuals and large and small corporate clients in both Federal and State courts. He has extensive experience in complex issues of professional liability, governmental regulation and business transactions.

In addition, Mr. Schilleci routinely represents companies in the area of food and drug law, with particular emphasis in the area of dietary supplements. He has litigated on his clients’ behalf both as plaintiffs and defendants in litigation with multiple Federal and State Agencies regarding adulterated products and deceptive advertising. He has worked with both large and small companies that manufacture and market dietary supplements, including weight loss products and potency products, as well as, over the counter and generic pharmaceuticals. He has advised clients on regulatory compliance issues, recalls, labeling issues, import/export issues, advertising and marketing issues, proposals to ban products and other business practices.

Mr. Schilleci also practices extensively in the field of trademark law, unfair competition, and related litigation. He advises clients on their ability to use, register, and protect trademarks and service marks; prepares and prosecutes applications for federal trademark and service mark registration; maintains those registrations, and litigates on behalf of clients to protect their intellectual property rights.
