Jon Garon works closely with entertainment and business clients to develop and expand opportunities using the Internet and electronic commerce. He regularly provides financing, production and distribution counseling for independent filmmakers, musicians, artists and entrepreneurs. He assists business clients with technology, privacy and security compliance, intellectual property protection, licensing arrangements, employment agreements, strategic business development, and general corporate matters.

Jon is a professor of Law at Hamline University law School (St. Paul, Minnesota), having served as Dean from 2003-2008. He was previously professor of law at Franklin Pierce Law Center (Concord, New Hampshire) and professor of law and associate dean for academic affairs at Western State University College of Law (Fullerton, California). His courses primarily focus on entertainment, copyright, and intellectual property. He has also taught corporations, nonprofit organizations, federal income tax, contracts and torts.
