Jocelyne J. Kim Lew

On May 1, 1978, Jocelyne J. Kim Lew began her career practicing immigration law. Seven years earlier, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature from the University of Alberta in Canada. She then took a year off from studying to tour Europe and the Middle East and in the fall of 1972 returned to the University of Alberta to pursue her graduate studies. She was awarded a Master of Arts degree in French Canadian Literature from that university. Jocelyne taught at the University of Alberta and at the University of Winnipeg in Canada.

In 1977, Jocelyne earned her law degree (an LL.B.) from the University of Manitoba in Canada by attending her last year of law school at the University of California, Los Angeles. In the same year, she was admitted to the California State Bar and to the U.S. Northern and Central District Circuit Courts.

The Law Office of Jocelyne J. Kim Lew, A Professional Corporation, was established in 1982 and has since been dedicated to the practice of immigration law with a special emphasis in employment-based immigration matters. Jocelyne has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1978. She is a past National Chair for the California Service Center as well as a past Santa Clara Chapter Liaison Chair for both the California Service Center (CSC) and the Department of Labor (DOL). She has also been a speaker at AILA conferences.
