Experienced Tax and Business Counsel

Mr. Barry is a native of Los Angeles. Prior to returning to Los Angeles in 2009, he was associated with an AmLaw 100 international law firm, where he represented clients of all types in hundreds of business transactions and tax controversies in which he was responsible for all tax aspects of complex domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, bank financings, joint ventures, and restructurings.

Mr. Barry advises clients on these issues, as well as issues related to new business startups, acquisitions, sales, and contracts.

Real Business Experience

As the former Chief Financial Officer of a retail clothing chain, Mr. Barry is familiar with the challenges a new business owner faces — choosing a type of entity, forming the entity, registering with the federal, state, and local governments, and obtaining funding. It can be an overwhelming process. That is why he works with his clients to make the process as unintimidating as possible by working to develop a business plan, and policies and procedures by which to operate the business.
