Ellen Levin is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Pace University, New York. She Graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in 2001.

After graduating from college, Ellen Levin came to California with her husband to further her acting career, which she began in New York. To help support her acting career, Ellen Levin worked as a paralegal. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ellen Levin worked for solo practitioner Marc Gentry Penso for 10 years. It was Marc Penso who taught her first hand how to aggressively advocate for one’s clients. Ellen Levin’s responsibilities at the firm included direct contact with the clients, helping them prepare for their depositions and helping them with discovery. She worked closely with Marc Penso through every aspect of each case, helping to prepare for trial. Along the way, she found that law was her true calling.

Ellen Levin continued to work full time as a paralegal while attending law school at night. Knowing she wanted to be a trial lawyer, she honed her skills on the trial advocacy team at Southwestern Law School, competing with other law schools. Ellen went to law school so that she could better help those who have been wrongly injured.

As an attorney, Ellen Levin first worked for Rose, Klein & Marias, a mid-size diverse plaintiff’s litigation firm, specializing in personal Injury, employment litigation, products liability, racial discrimination, elder abuse, and fraud.

Ellen Levin next worked as an associate for Steinberg & Spencer, a small plaintiff’s litigation firm, specializing in premises liability, dog bites, automobile accidents, and products liability. It was at Steinberg & Spencer that Ellen Levin took three trials to verdict, winning 2 of the three trials.

Prior to opening her own practice, Ellen Levin was Senior Counsel at Tharpe & Howell, a mid-size law firm, which handles mostly insurance defense. At Tharpe & Howell, Ellen Levin learned what few plaintiff’s attorney’s ever get to know – what the insurance companies are really thinking.

At Tharpe & Howell, Ellen Levin was in charge of cases involving catastrophic trucking accidents, wrongful death, and serious injuries involving defective products. In addition, Ellen Levin was the supervising attorney in charge of the consumer fraud and lemon law department, representing automobile dealerships.

It was Ellen Levin’s compassion and honest evaluations of each case that resulted in a fair resolution for both sides. Although most of the work handled at Tharpe & Howell was defense, Ellen Levin personally handled several plaintiffs’ matters for the firm.

After four years, Ellen Levin has returned to her roots-- back where she belongs – representing injured plaintiffs both in the areas of personal injury and consumer fraud. Ellen Levin is dedicated to obtaining justice for each individual client.
