Firm: DAVID B. MANLEY, III, PC Practice Overview: David Manley is an attorney with over 25 years of experience. Primary practice areas include advice and counsel, dispute resolution (through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and/or litigation), problem solving, claims defense, contract negotiation and formation, and transactional support for individuals, closely held businesses, and publically held corporations concerning general civil, real property, contract, consumer, corporate, insurance, employment and business related matters. Fees tend to be below those usually charged for comparable services because of the particularly lower overhead of this law practice. Jurisdiction(s): Georgia Professional Profile: After employment in both the private and public sectors, David Manley returned to the University of Georgia and obtained a Juris Doctor degree. Since that time his practice was with Atlanta law firms (as an associate at first, then as a named partner) before becoming an individual practitioner. While he assists regular institutional and multistate corporate clients, David also derives satisfaction from assisting individuals and small businesses in reaching their goals in as cost effective manner as possible. His cases range from relatively limited problems to those involving substantial rights and sums. In representing his clients, David has appeared in State and federal courts, and at arbitrations and mediations, in the 13 county extended metro Atlanta area, as well as other Georgia locales such as Gainesville, Augusta, Athens and Statesboro. Representation has included appeals in the Georgia Supreme Court, the federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, and in the U.S. Supreme Court. As part of his activities outside the practice of law, David has been elected treasurer, then president, of his local bar association, as well as serving as a faculty member by invitation for the Georgia Institute for Continuing Legal Education where he taught other attorneys. He has written papers on various legal topics, served with committees at the State Bar level, and was elected to Who's Who In American Law.
