Professional Profile:
Partner Nora Polk graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law. Before moving to Atlanta, she practiced criminal law for the Hamilton County Public Defender in Cincinnati, representing juvenile clients. Nora has been featured in several local legal publications, including the Atlanta Bar Magazine. She has also appeared on television as a legal expert for the local news and as a guest speaker on Layman’s Lawyer and Legally Speaking. As an attorney with the General Law Unit at Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Nora represented low-income clients in housing and unemployment matters. She then moved to the Health Law Unit at Atlanta Legal Aid where she represented clients who were living with HIV, AIDS, and cancer. After several years of working as a staff attorney at Atlanta Legal Aid, Nora was promoted to supervising attorney in the Gwinnett Office of Atlanta Legal Aid Society. While there, she maintained a general civil legal practice with an emphasis on family law and domestic abuse. Nora is married to Philip Polk, and they have two children, Kobie and Nile.
