Firm: Law Offices of Beatrice L. Snider, APC
Practice Overview:
The Law Offices of Beatrice L. Snider began in 1974 as a one-attorney office in San Diego. After the Family Law Act of 1970, it became obvious to Ms. Snider that the handling of a family law matter required lawyers with highly specialized skills. Family law encompasses not only the dissolution, custody, support and property division aspect of law but often requires the lawyer to cross over into other areas of the law including civil, corporate, business, tax, bankruptcy, pensions, etc. This need, coupled with the passion to affect positive change in a person's life during a difficult and dramatic time, resulted in Ms. Snider building a law firm to fill that need.

The firm has grown and currently has over thirty skilled staff on the team. The attorneys on the staff are dedicated exclusively to family law issues such as divorce, property distribution, spousal support, child support, custody and visitation issues, grandparent guardianship and visitation issues, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, legal separation agreements, same-sex issues and cohabitation agreements. Five of the attorneys hold State Board Certification in Family Law.

The firm has been in its current location since 1987. The firm chose this mid-county location based on the comfortable surroundings, accessibility to all family law courts, easy parking as well as easy access for the firm's clientele located throughout San Diego County and bordering counties.

The firm prides itself on having the depth of staff to provide a team with all the experience and expertise that is necessary for your particular case. This office has handled some of the most sophisticated and complex family law cases in San Diego as well as the simplest. We strive to handle all your family law needs with expertise and compassion.

At the Law Offices of Beatrice L. Snider, the practice is dedicated exclusively to family law. The firm has helped thousands of individuals throughout San Diego County and bordering counties, in matters of divorce, property distribution, spousal support, child support, custody and visitation issues (both parent and grandparent), pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, legal separation agreements and annulments. The firm's lawyers are experienced, knowledgeable, hard working and approachable in their efforts to offer family law representation. The firm is well known in the San Diego family law community for its expertise and integrity.

The firm's offices are located in a brick three story building in a quiet, unassuming area of Scripps Ranch. This location is convenient to courts throughout San Diego County yet provides a welcome change from the congestion of downtown San Diego to clients and employees alike. The firm goes to great lengths to ensure that clients are in comfortable surroundings when dealing with the most personal of issues, their family.
The firm was founded in 1974 by Beatrice Larsson Snider. In 1980, Ms. Snider became a Certified Family Law Specialist becoming one of twelve attorneys in San Diego to receive such recognition at the time. Christine Hayes Sickler joined the firm in 1985, became a Certified Family Law Specialist in 1991and subsequently became a shareholder with the firm. The firm currently employs the largest number of attorneys specializing in family law south of Los Angeles as well as a very knowledgeable and experienced paralegal and support staff. The firm maintains a one to one attorney to paralegal ratio in an effort to provide the highest level of client communication.

Understanding that most clients desire to resolve their matters on an amicable basis, the firm takes great pride in the attorneys' abilities to negotiate equitable and fair settlements whenever possible. In addition, with the knowledge that certain matters cannot be settled, the attorneys are ready, willing and able to litigate complex issues of custody, support, property and financial issues when necessary.

Interests:
I live in the North Park area of San Diego. Traveling, politics and spending time with my family and friends are my passions outside the practice of law, whether it’s spelunking in Iceland, bungee jumping in New Zealand, scuba diving in Australia or hiking through the John Muir wilderness. My passion for politics has had me working on Capital Hill in D.C., serving on numerous committees and working on campaigns.
