Professional Profile:
Janna focuses her practice at Gordon Law Group on Domestic Relations, Criminal Law, and General Civil Litigation. She graduated with dual degrees in English and Political Science and a minor in History from Auburn University. As an undergraduate at Auburn, Janna was a member of the social sorority Alpha Gamma Delta and a founding member and team captain of Auburn’s Mock Trial Team. She also worked on various projects for the Dean of Educational Affairs and Graduate Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and was awarded a fellowship in Civic Engagement.
Janna received her Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt Law School, where she served as Chief Justice of the Vanderbilt Moot Court Board and co-chair of the Legal Aid Society Public Interest Auction. Janna excelled in Vanderbilt’s Moot Court and Mock Trial Competitions, finishing as a semifinalist and quarterfinalist, respectively, and participated in the Appellate Litigation Clinic, where she focused on habeas corpus cases. She also received the VLS scholastic excellence award in Environmental Law.
As a law student, Janna worked in Public Defenders’ offices in Tennessee and Alabama. She also worked for a small firm specializing in civil litigation, a medical malpractice defense firm, and a small general practice firm, where she assisted with business and civil litigation and wills and trusts.
