April Boutillette Brinkman

Ms. Brinkman practices family law, with a focus on dissolution, child custody, child support, visitation, and contempt issues; criminal law, including misdemeanors and felonies such as assault, domestic violence, drug related charges, and vacation of criminal records; juvenile law and education law; and civil rights and constitutional law, including rights to free expression and police misconduct cases.

Ms. Brinkman is licensed in Washington State and dedicated to providing her clients with quality care and exceptional service. She aggressively fights for the rights of her clients from her Vancouver, Washington based law office. Her private practice focuses on family law, the law of child protection, criminal law, juvenile law, education law, civil rights, and constitutional law. In addition, Ms. Brinkman is dedicated to appellate work, and she has experience appealing the decisions of both courts and administrative bodies. Ms. Brinkman is bilingual in English and Spanish, and she spent a year in Costa Rica as a Fulbright Scholar. She is a member of the Family Law Section and the Amicus Brief Committee of the Washington State Bar Association, and she is Vice-Chair of Southwest Washington for the Women of the Washington State Association for Justice. Previously, Ms. Brinkman was a Professor at Portland State University as well as a Co-Chair of the Youth and Law Forum for the Washington Young Lawyers Division.
