Mr. Paterra practices primarily in the areas of labor and employment law. He represents management and employees in a full range of issues related to the employment relationship. He has handled cases in the following areas: all EEOC and state agency matters from the filing of the charge and the ensuing investigation, through issuance of the right-to-sue; litigating claims arising under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination In Employment Act, Wage and Hour Class Action, and other federal statutes and state laws; representing employers before the NLRB regarding unfair labor practice charges; and advising employers on all human resource issues, including hiring new employees, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating existing employees. He has also advised client concerning contract disputes, non-compete agreements, separation agreements and trade secret agreements, breach of contract law, tort law, and construction law. Additionally, Mr. Paterra also has helped employers concerning aspects of immigration law.
